The Diversion Control Center of the Drug Enforcement Agency awarded the 8(a) company Affigent, LLC a $367,815.93 contract on January 19th of this year. The contract was for the maintenance of the Registrant Support Network as well as the Splunk license upgrade and support -- which will be used for the central management of system data and logs. The contract is scheduled to go through the end of January of 2017; while Affigent does hold an 8(a) and significant experience, its bid proposal was only one of two submitted.

Despite averaging hundreds of millions of dollars in government contracting each year, Affigent, LLC is a relatively new player to the contracting market -- with under a decade in experience. It makes up for this with strong partnerships with major corporations like Adobe, Oracle, and EMC2 -- helping it obtain often very massive contracts that most smaller businesses are unable to handle alone.
