Federal Law Enforcement Training Center Places Small Order with Amron International

August 17th, 2015 - by Amron International, Inc. | Share on:

The Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, a part of the Department of Homeland Security, placed an order with the small woman-owned business Amron International, Inc. valued at $14,035.45 on the 17th of August, 2015. The full order should be fulfilled by mid-October.

Amron gained the delivery order through its Federal Supply Schedule contract -- originally awarded back in November of 2005. The order is for what is called a NarcoPouch. The Forensics Source ODV NarcoPouch Drug Tests are compact field test kits that include up to three chemical ampoules per test, for greater substance discrimination. A white background printed on back of each test makes identifying color changes easier and more accurate. Sample color results for target substances are printed on the front of each pouch for simple identification and a plastic safety holder helps to prevent broken glass shards from puncturing the pouch during normal use.

Debra Ritchie, current president of Amron, says, "The Narcopouch is a great test kit; the government has used it for quite some time -- nearly a decade, I believe, when the DEA first started purchasing it. It's affordable and highly effective."
