December 6th, 2016 - by Chloeta Fire, LLC | Share on:

Native American wildland firefighters from Chloeta began work for the USDA Forest Service on task order against their National Initial Attack (IA) crew contract administered by National Interagency Fire Center (NIFC) personnel in Georgia last week.

They are assisting with suppression operations on the Rock Mountain Fire burning in both Georgia and North Carolina. Crew Superintendent Phillip Daw stated, "It's been a challenging assignment out here but we're just glad to be able to help out the Forest Service and the citizens with these wildfires due to the drought."

Chloeta Fire is an 8(a) located in northeastern Oklahoma. They can be reached via their website (www.chloetafire.com) or by contacting Mark Masters at mmasters@chloetafire.com or 877-245-6382.
