Air Force Awards Large Order with Chicago American Manufacturing, LLC
June 2nd, 2015 - by Chicago American Manufacturing, LLC | Share on:
An Air Force base out of Cook, IL placed a relatively large order with Chicago American Manufacturing, LLC valued at $491,225.00 for furniture on the 2nd of June. A sizable order, its expected to be fulfilled by the end of August. The order was specifically for wardrobes and chest inserts to be used on the base.
The small furniture company is a relative newcomer to the government market; it made a bit of a splash with the Army in September of 2014 with a large order for wall lockers before gaining a Federal Supply Schedule in early 2015. This marks the first major order through their schedule contract, but it was certainly a significant hit that could mark the beginning of a very successful government contracting career.
"We were a little uncertain," says Diane Herman of the Chicago firm. "We've been in business for over a decade now, and have developed into a relatively successful business -- employing over 150 people. However, we hadn't had much experience in the government arena. Thus far its been rewarding, and we hope to expand in this market as we increase our relationships with government buyers."
