Continental Flooring Gains Flooring Contract from Coast Guard

August 27th, 2015 - by Continental Flooring Company, Inc. | Share on:

The Continental Floor Company out of Scottsdale, AZ received a $49,500.60 order from the Coast Guard Training Center Cape May on the 27th of August. Placed through Continental Flooring's Schedule 72 (one of its three schedules), its estimated to be completed by the end of September.

While Continental has been known to do multi-million dollars jobs (having done a contract for over $40 million with the General Services Administration in 2011), the nearly $50 thousand order marks a more standard order for the small Arizona firm. The order was for Palomino II style carpet -- both in the 2'x2' carpet tiles and the 40"x150' mesh rolls to best facilitate the complete carpeting project.

Contract administrator Diane Conti of Continental says, "We enjoy working with the government. They account for upwards of a third of our business, and we want to expand on this. We especially enjoy these quick orders through our schedules that bring a high profit and can generate quick turnaround for the agencies. This is where we excel over a Mohawk or a Shaw."
