Distributed Information Technologies, Inc. Secures 5-Year BPA with National Park Service

January 10th, 2017 - by Distributed Information Technologies | Share on:

Distributed Information Technologies (DIT) is pleased to announce that it was awarded a new 5 year BPA with the National Park Service (NPS) Park Facilities management Division (PFMD) from 9/2016 through 9/2021. This new BPA will insure that DIT can continue to provide support and enhancements to a number of custom web applications that it built for PFMD, the enterprise wide Maximo deployment, and new development and integration projects. While DIT continues to diversify its customer's portfolio, this win ensures that DIT's longest running customer will continue to be an integral part of its business for years to come.

The scope of this BPA includes:

• Database Development
• Data Management and Analysis
• Software Selection, Installation
• Customization
• Operation and Maintenance
• System Documentation
• Reporting
• Developing Functional Analysis and Requirements
• Web Application Development
• Technical Consulting
• Training
• Agile and Waterfall Development
• Project Management

DIT's history with the National Park Service (NPS) and other Department of the Interior (DOI) bureaus brings the established benefits of nearly two decades of partnership. DIT has first-hand knowledge of NPS and PFMD processes, culture, organizational history, technology infrastructure, and initiatives. Over the course of DIT's history with NPS, DIT has advanced as a company, embracing modern development methodologies, technologies, and principles in accordance with the directives of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), the White House, the U.S. Chief Information Officer, and the Federal CIO Council (CIO.gov). The benefits to PFMD include more robust, modernized software and processes, reduced cost, higher quality, and improved usability. Over the course of this BPA, DIT will provide PFMD with a high-value, low-risk, cost-effective partner.

On this BPA, as with all federal contracts, DIT will follow industry standards and best practices when developing enterprise class applications. DIT employs the PMI Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK®) framework and methodologies across its projects and applies the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) during development life cycles.
