Chemco Industries Awarded 3rd Option to Deliver 4500 Cases of Latex Exam Gloves to GSA

The General Services Administration (GSA) exercised the 3rd option of their Latex Exam Glove contract with Chemco Industries, increasing the IDIQ SQA contract total to more than 13,500 cases, which amounts to over $454k. GSA has warehouses across the US, and distributes products throughout the nation, as well as internationally. Chemco was able to deliver more than 8,900 cases of gloves to these warehouses, and end users, since June 2016.
In January 2017, the FDA placed a ban on the powdered latex gloves (NSN 8415-01-434-1781) that Chemco had been supplying. This stopped the shipment of these gloves immediately and abruptly, with no GSA approved replacement.
Despite this challenge, Chemco pulled resources together and was able to find a replacement glove (NSN 8415-01-660-3248), and get it approved by GSA. Chemco was also able to have the contract extended to allow GSA customers more time on the contract to place their order for the new glove.
