The COGAR Group was awarded the Department of Commerce (DOC) Professional Security Services contract for Special Police Officer and Dispatcher services within DOC Headquarters. This contract is located at the Herbert C. Hoover Building in Washington, D.C. COGAR personnel provide 24/7 armed protective security for the DOC Office of Securities (OSY) facility, personnel, and property. The Herbert C. Hoover Building has 3,300 rooms, over 1.8 million square feet of floor are spread across 8 acres.

COGAR has completed the transition stages from the July 1, 2015 contract start date, employing 66 security personnel for uninterrupted security service within the prominent metropolitan region. Increased traffic flow and infinite construction have amplified obstacles, and increased the need for protective services. Nevertheless, COGAR and its Security Team will continuously carry out the COGAR mission to "consistently put clients first by offering comprehensive, high quality services that are ethical, responsive, innovative, and cost-effective."
