Atlanta Air Charter, Inc. Adds Jet to its Growing Fleet of Aircraft

During the week of July 17, 2017, the crew of N928JA performed FAA "proving runs" to demonstrate the company's ability to flight track, operate, and maintain a flight schedule under (artificial) challenges imposed by the Flight Standards District Office FSDO-ATL. The federal agency presented numerous real-world challenges to the air carrier and the entire team performed admirably well.
Atlanta Air Charter has been in the air charter business since January 29th, 2004 and has operated a fleet of company-owned and operated King Air 200s for the past 9 years. The Astra/G100 jet is the first jet to be added to the company's air carrier certificate. By the end of the year, the company intends to acquire another jet as demand continues to grow.
The proving runs are mandated by the Federal Aviation Administration when an air charter company expands their business plan beyond 9 passenger, propellor driven aircraft. With a flawless track record for safety and financial success, Atlanta Air Charter answered numerous maintenance, operational, and regulatory questions, and provided positive and extensive reassurances to the FAA concerning their competence in operating and managing a turbo-jet aircraft.
