After answering a Request for Proposal (RFP) and submitting numerous records to the Georgia Department of Administrative Services, Atlanta Air Charter was awarded the multi-year contract for the State's Aviation Authority.

The State of Georgia once had 4 separate aviation divisions until Governor Purdue signed a law which closed down all fixed wing operations, saving the state millions of dollars by contracting aviation services to air carriers such as Atlanta Air Charter. During the vetting process, the GA DOAS revealed that a major emphasis was put on the fact that Atlanta Air Charter's owners were former military and airline pilots, and every pilot in the company has thousands of hours of flight experience.

In the first month of the contract, Atlanta Air Charter flew trips in support of the Georgia Aviation Authority for the advancement of economic development. This lead agency is the state's sales and marketing arm, for attracting new business investment, encouraging the expansion of existing industry and small businesses, aligning workforce education and training with in-demand jobs, locating new markets for the State of Georgia.
