The COGAR Group, Ltd. (COGAR), a leading security and protection services firm, announces that the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) has awarded the firm with a new emergency contract to continue performing armed security guard services at the Humphrey's Engineering Center (HEC) in Alexandria, VA.
COGAR was the incumbent contractor and will perform operations for HEC for another base period of 10 months. COGAR personnel provide 24/7 armed security guard protection services for a high level cleared facility at USACE HEC. COGAR provides security protection via roving patrols, access/visitor control, surveillance camera and alarm monitoring, and emergency assistance support. COGAR provides a highly-trained guard unit and was able to continue operations without a break in service for USACE HEC in April of 2017.
The COGAR Group, Ltd. was awarded contracts via an emergency award, invitation only negotiations process. The contracts include a base period valued at over $800,000. COGAR has a long-standing history of providing professional security services to the military and federal government since 2005. In addition, COGAR has been a partner to USACE and providing services since 2015. COGAR is proud to partner again with USACE on this sensitive requirement.
