Creative Concepts International, Inc., a veteran-owned, small business company, customizes or tailors all content for training sessions. Through its 35-year history, CCI has served a wide range of government and corporate clients in the U.S.and 16 other countries.

CHALLENGE:
A government agency issued a call for a leadership training program that would be applicable for managers/supervisors as well as employees. There are countless basic and advanced leadership programs being offered by vendors but few geared for that broad base. CCI submitted a proposal and was awarded a contract for a two-day program.

SOLUTION:
CCI program designers gathered information from the client on real-life situations and opportunities for leadership in their workplace. Case studies, discussion topics, exercises and skill assessments were created along with proven leadership techniques and the workshop titled Lead by Example was born. PowerPoint slides were produced to coincide with the course content; workbooks were produced, information on the audience was obtained, the CCI instructor gained knowledge on the agency and audience, and the training program was delivered.

RESULTS:
The diverse mixture of participants created interesting dialog between managers, supervisors and employees - many who work in virtual teams. Evaluations revealed the bottom line with these results: On a scale of 1-5, every category (content, instructor, materials, and participation) had 4's and 5's. Some comments: "Best leadership course I've ever attended." "Instructor was great - engaging and knowledgeable." "Great class! Now I can supervise as a leader."
