Small business contractor Winning Solutions, Inc. assisted DCMA with a surveillance database used to track delivery performance. The work centered on developing a bar chart that displayed monthly and running average performance.

Most significantly, WSI created a hyperlink for the user to navigate from any manufacturing surveillance criteria to supporting AS6500 manufacturing metrics. For the first time, this successfully bridged the gap between mandatory surveillance and manufacturing quality management systems. Most users have little to no understanding of the relationships between the two. This simple navigation tool will give management and auditing greater insight into surveillance risks and supporting manufacturing rationale.

WSI was also able to quickly assist DCMA with re-establishing the hyperlink that was lost after changing a control name and upgrading the database to Access 2016.

DCMA has been able to develop the database on their own. WSI is able to readily assist on an as needed basis with custom navigation tools and reporting. All work has been performed remotely. WSI has been able to fulfill most DCMA's requests the same or next business day. It has been a small challenge for DCMA and WSI to exchange the database due to typical security requirements, which is to be expected.
