Monroeville, PA: Tom Crea addressed the importance of good communication skills with Pittsburgh Chapter of the Project Management Institute (PMI). PMI is the leading not-for-profit professional membership association for the project management profession.
Good communication continues to rank among every employer's most desired skills. They include verbal and non-verbal, as well as written and listening skills. In his "Relate and Communicate" session, Tom discussed the importance of recognizing communication styles. He shared how participants could learn to read 19 signals to identify another person's style, enabling you connect with others and develop necessary relationships for success.

During this interactive session, attendees:
1. Discovered their unique communication style
2. Identified each of four communication styles
3. Practiced identifying the style of a partner
After practicing with colleagues who communicate differently, attendees gained increased understanding and empathy for others on their team.
