Federated IT has distinguished itself with "Exceptional" CPARS for the Migration and Consultant contracts in support of the Enterprise Migration and Consolidation of the Air Force's Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communications System (JWICS) into four Enterprise Service Centers for the Air Combat Command operating out of Lackland AFB, San Antonio, TX. This complex migration optimized IT Systems and Resources utilization based on Microsoft Best Practices, collapsing more than 170 disparate sites into four strategically located Centers.
Federated IT successfully enacted System Center 2012 R2 Operations Manager within in the AFJWICS IT Systems Architecture, and it received its Certificate to Field the new software to the AFJWICS Enterprise. Additionally, it assisted AFCENT at Shaw AFB with the rollout of their self-funded VDI workstation solution. This Program Management Office-approved solution afforded AFCENT with greatly-needed capability for their unique mission. Federated IT's Consultants are fully engaged with Daily Ops personnel, discussing possible hardware purchases and the need for detailed governance documentation in support of the ongoing data archiving initiative toward a more user-driven, automated IT Service Management framework for JWICS across the Air Force.
The AF JWICS Workstations, Layer 3 appliances, and Server Migrations were an Air Force success story. Federated IT achieved 100% completion on-time and within budget. This was a demanding schedule that migrated at its peak more than 3,000 workstations per month, with almost zero errors, totaling out at an impressive 22,000 appliances overall. Federated IT's work with Microsoft enterprise technologies delivered solutions that facilitated and streamlined migration. Federated IT is in the final stages of wrap-up for all legacy system decommissioning. Its close collaboration with Active Duty and AF civilian partners has become a cohesive and highly integrated team with an admirable performance!
Federated IT is in discussion for follow-on work to facilitate the Intelligence Community Information technology to the Enterprise (ICITE) Strategy Roadmap as Cloud Brokerage and Managed Services continue to advance within the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community. Its successes have paved the way for the "Commoditization" of JWICS as a future weapons system within the Air Combat Command's inventory. Federated IT continues its consultation and IT support to make that goal a reality for our long-standing client; it is grateful to have supported this important mission!
