Service-disabled, veteran-owned Sygnetics, Inc. began by providing staffing services for automotive companies, but when the Veteran Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development Act of 1999 was passed, the company began providing civilian workers for the government sector. Sygnetics, Inc. recently launched a program to hire disabled veterans and has started using more technology, such as video email and live video broadcasts, to communicate with employees.

In response to all this, Sygnetics, Inc. won a large contract to recruit and retain civilian workers for the US Department of Defense. The contract is worth up to $134 million over five years.
